Trump mentions Ukraine in first public speech after election

The president-elect called ending the war his priority.

He gave a public speech at the America First Policy Institute in Florida in the West, in which he briefly mentioned the war in Ukraine.

According to the BBC, during his speech, the president-elect announced the appointment of Doug Burgum, one of the former contenders for the post of vice president of the United States, as head of the Department of the Interior, which is responsible for the distribution of federal lands and natural resources.

At the end of his speech, Trump said that “the war between Russia and Ukraine must end” and called it one of his priorities once he returns to the White House in January. The Republican also considers it important to cleanse the government of bureaucracy, resolve conflicts in the Middle East and combat the propaganda of gender politics towards children.
