US State Department Lowers Risk Level for Travel to Ukraine

This will facilitate visits by representatives of businesses, organizations and institutions.

For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukrainian citizens, the United States Department of State recommends. >

As noted on the State Department website, now in the territory of 9 regions (Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr) the fourth threat level “do not travel” is in effect, but the third one “discuss travel”.

The diplomatic department notes that the listed regions remain targets of missile and drone attacks, but the air defense capabilities and distance from the combat zone allow for a slight relaxation of security recommendations.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova called this decision “good news for Ukrainian-American business” and said that it will facilitate visits to Ukraine by organizations and institutions.
