Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law improving the mechanism for the monetary allowance of military personnel captured or missing in action.

In particular, the law allows military personnel to indicate to whom and in what amount they should be paid their allowance in the event of being captured or missing in action. to lead. If there is no such order, the law provides for the procedure for payments to family members or relatives.

The Coordinating Staff also noted that a mechanism for indexing monetary allowances and the procedure for paying them by the time a serviceman returns, is declared missing, or is declared dead have been established.

“It is important to note that the law does not apply to persons who voluntarily surrendered, left their place of service without permission, or deserted,” the Coordinating Staff emphasized.

The law will come into force two months after its official publication.
