Ukraine managed to return more than 3.7 thousand Ukrainians from Russian captivity

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has returned 3,767 Ukrainians from Russian captivity, including 168 Ukrainian civilians.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, spoke about this at a briefing, writes “Obshchestvennoye”.

“As of now, together with the Coordination Headquarters and other agencies with which we work, we have managed to return 3,767 heroes and heroines from Russian captivity,” the ombudsman notes.

< Of the 3,767 prisoners that Ukraine has managed to return, 168 are civilians, the rest are prisoners of war.

According to Dmytro Lubinets, the prisoners of war were returned solely due to the exchange procedure. According to official data, as of today, “tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens are in Russian captivity.” This concerns both military and civilians.
