Russia wanted to spend $7 billion on microelectronics and failed to do so

This happened because of sanctions against Russia.

Russia was unable to spend the money allocated for the purchase of microelectronics.

This was stated by the Ukrainian Presidential Commissioner for Sanction Policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, Ukrinform reports.

“According to our partners’ calculations, Russia wanted to spend approximately 7 billion US dollars on microelectronics and was unable to… Why? Because the market reacted (to the sanctions – ed.), and it is difficult for Russia to buy any components from the priority list, which is a list of 50 items,” Vlasyuk assured.

As noted by the Ukrainian Presidential Commissioner for Rehabilitation Policy, there is information that Chinese banks have begun to refuse payments related to the Russian military-industrial complex or to significantly complicate their implementation. This is due to the reluctance to fall under secondary sanctions, primarily by the United States. /p>
