Defense Forces: The enemy is practicing forcing actions in the area of the Antonovsky Bridge in the Kherson region

There is tension in this direction, but there is no threat of the Russian army crossing the Dnieper.

In the area of the Antonovsky Bridge, connecting Kherson with the left bank, the Russian army is practicing crossing actions with small groups of infantry. The situation has escalated.

This was stated on television by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, writes “Ukrinform”.

The representative notes that at present these are forcing actions of small groups of enemy infantry in the composition of a squad.

“They also involve river boats of their Dnieper flotilla in these exercises. They are trying, let's say, just as they are now conducting assault actions on land with small groups of infantry, they will try to do approximately the same in this river zone, the island zone of the Dnieper,” the speaker points out.

Voloshin adds that fierce battles are currently underway for Kruglik Island and at the Antonovsky Bridge, where the enemy is “probing” the defense of the Ukrainian troops.

“Over the past 2-3 weeks, the situation has escalated in this area, so every day we note several combat clashes there. But will they force the Dnieper with large forces – I think not. the operation to force a water obstacle is a rather complicated operation, which involves a lot of forces and resources, and our intelligence would have noticed these forces and resources. >
