Ukraine tried to obtain lists from the Russian Federation through intermediaries.
Statements by representatives of the Russian Federation on the exchange of prisoners of war in the “630 for 630” format may be an attempt to launch an information and psychological special operation against Ukraine.
This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrinform reports.
“I can officially say that I did not receive any lists, no one gave them to me. Although we tried to obtain information and lists from the Russian Federation through intermediaries,” Lubinets assured.
He emphasized that work on the speedy return of Ukrainian military and civilians from Russian captivity is ongoing.

“We never use terms, we never make announcements. But I can say for myself that the entire Ukrainian team that is working on the return of Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity is working daily to speed up this process,” the ombudsman noted.
- Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has returned 3,767 Ukrainians from Russian captivity, including 168 civilians Ukrainians.
-
On October 18, the 58th exchange of prisoners of war took place between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, as a result of which 95 Ukrainian soldiers returned home.
-
The “peculiarity” of this exchange is that those Ukrainians who received so-called “sentences” and were “convicted” in the Russian Federation also returned home.
