<p>Since February 24, 2024, Russia has fired about 11,500 missiles at Ukraine.</p>
<p>This figure was announced by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, at the international forum “Diplomacy Today: the Role of Ukraine in Global Politics”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Kyiv Institute of International Relations relations. of which 3,200-3,500 were aimed at civilian infrastructure.</p>
<p>“Since February 2022, more than 13,500 civilians in Ukraine have been killed, including almost 590 children. Almost 26,000 civilians have been injured. More than 11 million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes, including 4.6 million internally displaced persons and more than 6.7 million who left Ukraine,” the head of the OPU noted.</p>
<p>Yermak added that the Russian invasion has become a serious obstacle to the recovery and development of the global economy. “The war has become one of the main factors that slowed global economic growth to only 3.2% in 2022 and increased inflation,” the head of the Presidential Office noted.</p>
<p>Global food security has also suffered. Thus, the consequences affected about 400 million people around the world who depend on Ukrainian food exports. </p>
<p>“Since the beginning of armed aggression against Ukraine in 2014, Russia has violated about 400 international treaties to which Ukraine and Russia are parties. In total, since the beginning of the aggressive war, Russia has disregarded 22 international fundamental documents, including the Charter of the United Nations, the Hague Convention and many others,” Yermak concluded.</p>
