The driver was detained, a criminal case was opened.
This was reported by the National Police.
The car accident occurred at 19.45 in the area of Naberezhnaya Zavodskaya Street. It has been preliminarily established that the driver of the BMW, in the area of the public transport stop “Children's Factory”, collided with a Ford, which was making a U-turn.
As a result of the accident, a 10-year-old passenger of the Ford died at the scene. The driver of the Ford and three other passengers, including two young children, received bodily injuries. They were hospitalized.

The driver of the BMW was detained by law enforcement officers in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The investigator opened a criminal case regarding the accident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles. A pre-trial investigation has been launched.
