Ukraine can think about Macron’s idea before deploying foreign troops, – Zelensky

Ukraine needs security guarantees until such time as a request for entry is made NATO. What is the need for this line if Ukraine joins the Alliance.

As RBC-Ukraine reports, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his Telegram.

“There will be a pause until Ukraine is not in NATO, and If there was a request for us, but we wouldn’t have NATO, and there would be a pause, then who will guarantee us this security? We can think about emmanuel’s position,” Zelensky wrote.

The President guessed that French President Emmanuel Macron having spoken, as if Part of the Ukrainian and other countries was present on the territory of Ukraine. It wouldn't be enough to guarantee security as long as Ukraine is not in NATO.

“Although we are to blame, it is clear that if Ukraine is in the EU and if Ukraine is in NATO. Considering our future, it would be even more “There are real guarantees,” Zelensky said.

Macron's initiative

We previously wrote that the French leader Emmanuel Macron announced the possibility of introducing a military force into the territory of Ukraine. However, this sparked a debate among Ukraine’s allies.

Later it became clear that this was not about the immediate dispatch of troops to take part in combat operations. NATO officials said they were ready to consider such a possibility. Among them are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Canada.

However, most countries did not support Macron’s position. At the same time, Macron’s controversial statement caused even more tension between him and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
