The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that as of 22:00 on December 11, 194 combat clashes have occurred.

The Defense Forces are directing their efforts to disrupt the Russian invaders' plans for an offensive and to exhaust their combat potential.

There were 39 combat encounters in the Pokrovsky direction, and another 47 in the Kurakhovskoye direction.

In the Kursk direction today our defenders repelled 21 enemy assaults. In addition, the enemy launched 316 artillery attacks on populated areas of the region and the positions of our defenders. More details about the operational situation as of the evening of December 11 are in the news. “MsoNormal”>The Russian army is trying to break through the defense of the city of Kurakhovo in Donetsk region, but the city remains under the control of the Defense Forces, said Nazar Voloshin, spokesman for the “Khortytsya” OSUV.

The speaker emphasized that the activities of three Russian groups are concentrated in the Pokrovsky, Kurakhovsky and Vremivsky directions: “Center”, “South” and “East”. Their goal remains to reach the administrative borders and establish full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. More information is in the news.

Occupiers condemned nine defenders of Mariupol, the Mariupol City Council reports.

In occupied Donetsk, the so-called DPR court sentenced nine servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The occupiers accuse them of shelling the village of Stary Krym in Mariupol in March 2022 and sentenced them from 24 years to life imprisonment.

The servicemen of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Shestak, Nazariy Moroz, Vladislav Yavorsky, Vadim Shulga, Sergey Yampolsky, Maksym Kolbasin, Dmitry Shalara, Vladimir Penzin and Konstantin Romanyuk, received terms.

All of them defended Mariupol from the Russian occupiers, were on the territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant and were then captured by the Russians.

December 11 EU ambassadors agreed on the 15th package of sanctions in response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

The new restrictions involve increasing the number of individuals and organizations on the existing sanctions list and are aimed at firms in the Russian Federation and third countries that indirectly contribute to Russia's military and technological advancement by circumventing export restrictions.

The new sanctions also restrict the activities of additional third-country courts that act to facilitate or support actions or policies in support of Russia's actions against Ukraine.

Ukrenergo has released information about the power outage on Thursday, December 12.

According to the company, the time of application and scope of restrictions for residential consumers will be as follows:

For industry and business, the schedules will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00.

“The reason for the temporary introduction of restrictions is damage to energy facilities as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks,” Ukrenergo recalled.

Ukrainian partners have a clear understanding of the need for Ukraine to join NATO, said Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha during the discussion “Geopolitical Challenges and Prospects 2025”, held within the framework of the lb.ua and EFI Group project “New Country”.

In his opinion, it is impossible to talk about creating a proper transatlantic security architecture without Ukraine in NATO. However, there are capitals that are skeptical about Ukraine joining the Alliance, although their number is shorter than the four voiced in the media: Budapest, Bratislava, Berlin and Washington.

“But we also understand the position of the countries, if it came to making a specific decision. In the status of Minister of Foreign Affairs, I made my first visit to neighboring countries, with the goal of developing a good-neighborliness policy and showing that we are not afraid and are ready to solve the most difficult issues in our bilateral relations. Therefore, I visited Budapest and Slovakia, had a visit to Romania, to Warsaw,” the minister said.

We are in close contact with all partners, in particular on discussing difficult issues.
