The US House of Representatives praised the defense budget for 2025. However, there is no provision in the document about the continuation of Lend-Lease for Ukraine.
RBC-Ukraine reports this through a post on Facebook by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova.
In these words, What is the bill on the defense budget for 2025 (NDAA), approved by the Senate, in place of the provisions for the continuation of the term of the Lend-Lease Law for the protection of democracy in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States actively advocated for it.
“However, the bill approved by the House representatives are not revenge for such a situation. The consolidated text of the bill does not include any additional provisions,” the ambassador stated.
In addition, in their words, the embassy continues to actively work on the conservation mechanism, which is directly transferred to the bipartisan and bicameral bill “Stand with Ukraine Act”.
What is Lend-Lease
