Pope Francis spent the month, at the hour of which he prayed and called for peace between Ukraine and Russia. At which he called Ukrainians and Russians “cousins.”

At the hour of his visit to the French island of Corsica, the pontiff returned with prayer to “To the Most Holy Theotokos” for “long-lasting peace for the Ukrainian and Russian people.”
“Stink (Ukrainians and Russians – ed.) brothers, cousins. Let them come to their senses! War is forever a defeat. Peace just in case to the world! “, – said Francis.
Scandalous statements of the Pope
Over the last three years, Francis has repeatedly spoken about the war between Ukraine and Russia. This statement has often had a small ambiguous character.
The most scandalous statement was made when the Pope called on Ukraine before negotiations with Russia and lived up to the phrase “white ensign”. Such a statement provoked an extremely negative reaction from the official Kiev and the country.
