SBU: Dnepr thermal power plant worker convicted for correcting Russian missile strikes on city

He belonged to a network of agents of the Russian military intelligence.

Another Russian agent who corrected Russian missile strikes on Dnipro has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the convicted person is a 47-year-old employee of a local thermal power plant. He was a member of a network of agents of the Russian military intelligence.

The SBU neutralized this cell in January 2023. Then, as a result of a multi-stage special operation, 8 Russian agents were detained in the regional center.

The thermal power plant employee transmitted the coordinates of local energy generating enterprises to the occupiers. After the shelling, the traitor arrived at the landing sites, recorded their consequences and adjusted the repeated shelling. The attacker also spied on the combat positions of the air defense units protecting the regional center.

“The agent transmitted the obtained intelligence to the occupiers through a resident – a former resident of Dnipro, who left for the Russian Federation in 2014 and began to cooperate with the Russian special service,” the SBU added.

The detainee was found guilty of treason.
