“Unfortunately, there are cases when individual families directly contacted the authorities of the Russian Federation: they were first given some information, sent some photo, given the opportunity to talk to the prisoner, and then given instructions: “We need to do this, this, third…”. And, unfortunately, there are isolated cases when they tried to involve the families of prisoners of war in intelligence activities for the benefit of the Russian Federation,” Lubinets said.
