This requires a corresponding order from the commander.
Servicemen who voluntarily return to a military unit from the SZCh will receive the same payments and support, but this requires a corresponding order from the commander.
This was reported by the head of the communications department of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service, Sergei Kuzmenko, Radio Liberty reports.
Kuzmenko explained that the resumption of all payments and support for those returning from the SZCh is resumed after an official order to enroll in the reserve battalion.
“When the commander issues an order to the combat unit that a serviceman has been enrolled in the reserve battalion, from that moment on, his monetary allowance is resumed, he is provided with material and food supplies, and all benefits are resumed in accordance with current legislation,” he said.
Kuzmenko emphasized that “during the period from the moment a serviceman leaves his unit until the issuance of an order to assign him to the reserve battalion, no payments of monetary allowance or provision of clothing are made.”
- Earlier it was reported that the servicemen who joined the SZCh must return by January 1: then they will avoid the sentence and receive all social guarantees.

- In August, the Verkhovna Rada approved a law that proposes not to punish for the first unauthorized abandonment of a military unit or desertion, if the serviceman himself returned and the commander allows him to continue serving.
- On November 29, a law on the voluntary return to service of those who left a military unit or deserted for the first time without permission came into force. It stipulates that during martial law, the contract of servicemen who left military units without permission for the first time but subsequently voluntarily returned to their place of service will continue. Cash payments are also being resumed.
