“Trump can be decisive. I think the most important thing for us is that he has the qualities – they are there. He can be decisive in this war. He can really stop Putin or, to tell the truth, help us stop Putin. He can do it,” the head of state said.
The president added that he had several conversations in the form of meetings and over the phone. “I think he is strong and unpredictable. I would very much like President Trump’s unpredictability to be directed, first of all, towards the Russian Federation. I think he really wants to end the war. I think this is true,” Zelensky emphasized.
The head of state emphasized that Trump’s victory in the US elections showed that he won “strongly.”
“There was no contradiction in this victory. I think that this is exactly the kind of victory we need over Russian aggression. His confidence in helping Ukraine and gaining these levers of influence,” the Ukrainian president added.
- Vladimir Zelensky has already made a similar statement in an interview with Fox News. Then he said that he believed that Trump and the US as a whole were stronger than Russia’s Putin and could force him to stop the war in Ukraine.
