President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his page on the X network congratulated General Joseph Aoun on his election as President of the Lebanese Republic.
The head of state expressed the wish that Aoun's appointment to the post “will resolve the protracted internal political crisis in Lebanon as soon as possible.” Zelensky also wrote that he wishes peace, stability and prosperity to “the friendly Lebanese people and other peoples of the Middle East.” trust and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our states.”
