Russians have begun using drones to shell Ukraine's borders, – Defense Forces

The enemy troops are also using cannon artillery and mortars.

The Russian army is using strike UAVs of the Geran and Shahed types.

This was stated by the press secretary of the OTUV “Seversk” Vadim Mysnik.

“Every day the enemy does not stop shelling the border areas, border communities, first of all. Over the past 24 hours, we have recorded another increase activity in shelling, but the weapons used by the enemy are changing somewhat. In particular, enemy troops are using barrel artillery and mortars, which they are trying to use to keep the local population and the Defense Forces on edge along the entire border.

“We are recording the presence of military personnel (Russian – ed.) along the state border, but we are not seeing any signs of the creation of a group at the present time. The enemy is constantly continuing to move personnel. They are able to move quickly on their territory thanks to the transport infrastructure: rail and road transport, but we are monitoring the situation very carefully in border areas,” the speaker adds.

Mysnik also said that in border areas the enemy mainly uses FPV drones, as well as dropping explosive devices from unmanned vehicles. In addition, in the dark, they use more strike drones such as Geran and Shahed.

Rechink adds that the evacuation of civilians from border settlements continues.
