The leader of the Bulgarian party declared “claims” to Pivdenna Bessarabia: Ukraine reacted

The scandalous leader of the pro-Russian Bulgarian party “Revival” Kostadin Kostadinov fantasized about his country’s “claims” to a part of the Odessa region. This statement is pushed forward by the Kremlin.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with messages to Kostadinov on Facebook and the Ukrainian Embassy in Bulgaria on Facebook.

What Kostadinov said

Kostadinov stated that “Bulgarians are becoming the majority of the population of Pivdennaya Bessarabia (Pivdennaya part of the Odessa region)”, and besides, “there is nothing logical, but turning the region back to the warehouse of Bulgaria.”

“Ukraine falls apart, and on “At the upcoming peace congress, which will determine the share of the so-called Ukrainian power that has not taken place, Bulgaria may declare its claims to Bulgarian Bessarabia,” adding the scandalous politician.

Reaction of the Embassy

The Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria called on the Bulgarian government to condemn such statements by Kostadinov, which supports the collapse of international law, consistent with historical facts and wants the transfer of cordons from Europe.

“Declaration of the leader of the “Revival” party for territorial entry into Ukraine is unacceptable for a politician of an EU member state, and confirms his systematic promotion of narratives Kremlin,” the diplomatic representative clarified.

Kostadin is openly supported by Russia

It seems likely that in 2023, the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Eleonora Mitrofanova, openly supported Kostadin in the elections Kostadinova. Vaughn stated that if she were an election candidate, she would vote for the “Revival” party.

Such a statement was violated by the Videnska Convention, as a result of which the right to participate in the election process was not granted.
