Ukraine has achieved the release of soldiers and civilians.

This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Andrey Yusov on the air of the telemarathon.

“Now there has been repatriation – the mutual return of the seriously ill, seriously wounded. This is a significant event. Ukraine has achieved a separate format for the return of seriously ill and seriously wounded Ukrainian defenders and civilians. We have worked on this for a long time, and much remains to be done, but there is hope that now the movement in this direction will be faster and more effective,” Yusov said.

The GUR representative noted that the Ukrainians returned from captivity have cases of amputations, gangrene, oncology, and loss of vision.

Yusov said that Ukrainian doctors and psychologists have a lot of work to do to restore them. Our fellow citizens will undergo long-term rehabilitation, as well as work with investigators who will collect information about the conditions of their captivity and other data that will help return other Ukrainians held by the Russian Federation.
