BBC: North Korean troops in Kursk region lost about a thousand people killed

The DPRK lost about three thousand wounded.

Illustrative photo in mid-January, the DPRK troops lost 4 thousand people. Of these, about a thousand were killed.

This was reported by the BBC, citing data from Western officials.

BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner believes that this is a very high figure, since about 11,000 North Korean troops were sent to help Russia in the Kursk region.

In his opinion, such a level of losses is unacceptable for the North Korean contingent without significant reinforcements.

It is currently unclear where the wounded are being treated, and when and to what extent they will be replaced.
