The Presidential Office announced an extension of the deadline for completing the VLK for those with limited fitness

They promise not to apply fines for now and to change the commission schedules.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk announced on her Telegram page that work is underway to extend the deadline for passing the military medical commission for citizens who were previously recognized as having limited fitness for military service.

According to the official, more than a million people with this status simply do not have time to fulfill the requirement of the law before February 4, because they have not received a call for a medical examination or cannot receive it now due to queues at territorial recruitment and social support centers.< /p>

Vereshchuk promises to find out in the future “who is responsible for the unsatisfactory organization of the process.” The Verkhovna Rada is currently working to amend the legislation and extend the deadline for passing the VLK.

The President's Office also promises not to apply the fine system to those who do not have time to undergo the examination on time, and to get the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health to establish proper VLK work schedules and call-outs for citizens.

At the same time, Vereshchuk reminds that all conscripts with the now-eliminated “limited” status must undergo a medical examination, because this is required by law.
