Lukoil oil refinery on fire in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

In the city of Kstovo, near Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, eyewitnesses report a large-scale fire at an oil refinery caused by attack drones. Corresponding photographs have already been published online.

The Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery is on fire – an enterprise with a capacity of about 17 million tons of oil per year. It processes a mixture produced in Western Siberia and Tatarstan.

The distance to Nizhny Novgorod from the Ukrainian border in Chernihiv region is about 800 kilometers.

• The defense forces previously launched a second strike on the Ryazan oil refinery.
