<p>Russians carried out an airstrike on an institution in Sudzha in the Kursk region. There were dozens of civilians in the institution preparing to evacuate.</p>
<p>“Today, February 1, at 16:54, Russian aviation struck a boarding school in the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region with a guided aerial bomb (GAB). The strike was carried out deliberately,” the General Staff noted. </p>
<p>At the time of the attack, there were dozens of local residents in the building who were preparing to evacuate.</p>
<p>It is noted that the Russian side had information that the boarding school was occupied exclusively by civilians – local residents, including women and children.</p>
<p>Everything possible is currently being done to rescue the survivors.</p>
<p>“The attack on the boarding school in Sudzha is another war crime by the Russian authorities, directed against the civilian population. The Russian army terrorizes Ukrainian cities daily with missile and drone strikes, destroying residential buildings, schools, hospitals. Now it has begun to deliberately kill its own civilians,” the General Staff emphasized. </p>

Updated. According to the General Staff, as of 22:00, work continues to clear rubble and provide assistance to the affected civilian population. Military commandant's office personnel in the territory of the Russian Federation continue to work at the site.

During the work to clear the rubble, 84 civilians were rescued and provided medical assistance, whose health condition is satisfactory, 4 are in serious condition, and another 4 people died.

All those who need additional medical assistance are promptly evacuated to medical institutions in Ukraine.< /p>
