In the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian military has begun another wave of illegal appropriation of property of local residents, writes IZ. In the villages of Solodkovodne, Zaporizhzhia and Kobylnye of the Polohivskyi district, the occupiers are photographing empty houses, rewriting housing, land plots and even private gardens belonging to Ukrainians.
According to reports from the Yellow Ribbon movement, the number of representatives of the Russian military police and the occupation prosecutor's office has recently increased sharply in the Polohivskyi district. The invaders are actively settling in abandoned houses that belonged to residents forced to evacuate to the territory controlled by Ukraine. At the same time, local residents are facing new threats – the occupiers are resorting to blackmail and violence, forcibly evicting people from their homes.
The facts of illegal confiscation of housing and land are causing concern among the local population. People fear that such actions may be a preparatory stage for a large-scale “nationalization” of Ukrainian property. In addition, there are assumptions that the seized property may be distributed between representatives of the occupation administration and the Russian military, who are participating in hostilities.
Let us recall that earlier we wrote that the occupiers are turning the homes of residents of the Zaporizhzhia region into weapons depots.
