RBC-Ukraine reveals how the tensions between the States and Latin America have happened and how the regions are reacting to Trump's affairs.

Throughout the first days in office, Donald Trump seized the United States from the entire low region of Latin America. The main reason is migration nutrition. Even during the election campaign, Trump stated that he would rather mass deportations of illegal migrants. Most of the illegal immigrants from the United States came from the region, and now they are being deported back in the thousands.

How many illegal immigrants are deported from the USA

On the first day of his presidency, Trump sent his superior camp to the border with Mexico, and also sent troops there. All over the country, mass confusion has begun. At the first stage of a large-scale operation, law enforcement will be hired to arrest illegal immigrants involved in criminal activities. However, according to Trump’s numerical statements, the prospect of deportation could include all illegal migrants – millions of people.

Previously, officials were only allowed to speed up the deportation of migrants caught within 100 miles (160 kilometers) of the border. That, with the arrival of Trump, was replaced by low internal instructions from the US Immigration and Foreign Affairs Service. Now deportation is possible for those who have been detained throughout the United States, who cannot be convinced that they have filed an application for temporary detention and will remain in the United States for a short period of time.

Data from the US Immigration and Migration Service tracked 5,096 individuals over the period 23-30 today. The Washington Post reports that police officers were advised to plan for 1,200 to 1,500 arrests per day. Most of those arrested are immediately deported by military pilots.

Who and how accepts deportees

Some countries began to accept their deportees and citizens from third countries without detention. El Salvador is ruled by a populist president, Naib Bukele, who is ideologically close to Trump and is ready to defect from the United States. Guatemala and Honduras accept deportees for arbitrary reasons, hoping to save financial assistance from the United States.

Negotiations were also held regarding the acceptance of illegal immigrants from Venezuela, which will continue to face political isolation for the rest of its life. The country was just ready to receive its citizens, the Zokrem, members of the Tren de Aragua cartel. Venezuela also released the sixty American guarantors it had been holding. Of course, in exchange for a relaxation of the sanctions.

And those who are against the reception of illegal immigrants. Colombia, the closest US ally in the region, was unable to accept flights on 26 September. In response, Trump announced a 25% tax on all goods imported into the United States from Colombia, strengthening the border checks of the citizens and leaders of Colombia and sanctions against low Colombian politicians. Colombian President Gustavo Petro was born just a few years ago and was finally ready to accept migrants.

With a blow to its reputation, it’s important to note that Colombia is economically dependent on the United States – about 30% of its exports go to the United States, while for the United States, trade with Colombia accounts for an insignificant share.

Be careful, Trump is in favor of Mexico, wanting from the very edge of the United States to find the left side of illegal migrants. Mexico, as well as Colombia, seemed to have received the deportees. The economies of the USA and Mexico are very closely intertwined. The trade turnover between them amounts to nearly 900 billion dollars.

Both countries, along with Canada, are included in the USMCA free trade zone (the name is similar to the first letters of the names of the countries).

Mexico is not against the deportation of its citizens. “If there is a fuss about repatriation on the right, we will continue to accept Mexicans on our territory in full force,” stated the Ministry of Health of the country.

Currently, Mexico is seeing migrants from third countries, from which the United States does not have bilateral connections: Nicaragua and Cuba. There have already been incidents when American pilots were caught with such illegal immigrants at the airport in Mexico.

In the context of migrants from Mexico itself, the United States has the most problematic diet. There are drug cartels on the territory of the region that transport illegal immigrants from the United States. Trump voted them international terrorist organizations. This allows sanctions to be imposed on them, and in the near future there may be a physical reduction of the cartels by the US military or missile strikes on Mexican territory.

In addition, the United States announced the renewal of the “Get Out of Mexico” program, which caused confusion among those who arrived from other countries to check with Mexico, their documents will not be considered in the United States. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that this country would not have given such a short term.

This is superimposed on Trump's commitment to change the trade deficit with Mexico. Zokrema, President of the United States of America, ordered an additional 25% tax on Mexican goods.

What will be the collective vision of Latin America

Most of the leaders of Latin America are on the side of Colombia. Among other things, this is due to the fact that the United States is losing its image in the region due to numerous military interventions in the past.

Financial Times reports that there is an oppressive atmosphere at the Latin American embassies in Washington. A high-ranking diplomat from the region said that it looks like they “turned back to 1897 and the era of President (US) McKinley, who invaded Cuba and the Philippines.”

The allies of China and Russia, such as Cuba and Venezuela, and other countries, have openly expressed their support to the President of Colombia. Since Trump is ready to impose sanctions and tariffs against his closest ally, then less close ones may get involved in even harsher actions.

After the incident with Colombia Honduras called the term sheet of the Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Powers (CELAC), and then seized the sustrich. It is expected that the current regional leader, besides the Colombian, has not confirmed his presence.

In the history of migrants, the initiative is still exactly on the US side. Donald Trump has no interest in praising the Swedes' energy and decisions. The strength of the region is in a weak position. Apparently, all of them will try to get along with Trump. At the same time, the United States travels to Latin America not less food for migrants. Where more conflicts could arise if Trump takes up the change in the inevitable Chinese influx into the region.
