In February, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) filed a claim with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize assets in the amount of 3.4 million UAH as unfounded and to collect them in favor of the state (civil confiscation), formally belonging to a relative, but actually used by the family of the former head of the district TCC and SP of the city of Kharkiv.
Based on the materials of the State Bureau of Investigations and evidence independently obtained by the SAP prosecutor, it was established that the mother-in-law of the head of the district TCC and SP of the city of Kharkiv owns two new luxury cars with a total value of UAH 3,423,000, purchased in 2022–2023. However, it turned out that the said cars were actually used by the official and his close associates, meaning that he was the one who could perform actions in relation to this asset that were identical to the right to dispose of it.
A scheme for evading mobilization using summonses was exposed in Kharkiv TCC
At the same time, an analysis of the income and expenses of the official, his family members and relatives established the impossibility of acquiring these objects using legal income.
Taking this into account, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit to recover the said asset in favor of the state, the legality of which raises reasonable doubts.
