The biggest myth is the idea that artificial general intelligence (AGI) is just a science fiction fantasy. However, many scientists agree that we are already getting closer to creating an AI. This intelligence will have the ability not only to learn, but also to evolve, which means it has the potential to influence our lives, even surpassing human intelligence. Although AI does not yet exist, its creation is already on the horizon, and it may appear much sooner than we think, creating new challenges for humanity.
People often believe that artificial intelligence does not pose a serious threat today. But in fact, modern AI systems are already causing harm. From road accidents caused by self-driving cars to cyber incidents that undermine economic and political stability, these problems are already affecting our lives. In addition, AI contributes to the spread of fake news, biased decisions and even election manipulation. This clearly shows that security measures are needed not only for future AI, but also for current technologies.
One of the most common myths is that current AI systems are too simple and cannot demonstrate autonomy. However, existing AI models, such as ChatGPT, exhibit behavior that goes beyond their original functionality. They can act differently than intended, creating additional risks for society.
