Zelensky denied Boris Johnson's role in ending talks with Russia

According to the President, there is “no logic” in such speculations.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Boris Johnson

In an interview with the British publication The Guardian, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refuted the thesis of Russian propaganda about ending talks with Russia in the spring of 2022. “there is no logic, because what should Johnson refuse us?” Zelensky claims that he never agreed to fulfill Russia's demands to stop aggression, because they were only ultimatums.

He also recalled that the visit of the then British Prime Minister took place after the escape of Russian troops from Kyiv, so “in theory, pressure from him.”

“Putin loves this story about Istanbul and the agreements too much,” Zelensky added.

Boris Johnson himself rejected accusations of inciting Ukraine to continue the war, calling them Russian fabrications.
