Europeans have been experimenting with glass for a long time, and only in the eighteenth century the first glasses created to protect against the sun appeared in Venice. </p>

But it was only in the twentieth century that this accessory gained worldwide popularity. The first to appreciate their practicality were pilots and drivers who needed to avoid glare. By 1948, almost every person in the United States had at least one couple. Their production grew, and designers created new forms that were in line with fashion trends. They ceased to be only a functional accessory – they have become a lifestyle. </p>
