after a meeting with the Swedish colleague Ulfhom Kristersen, premiere, premier -inist Italy, George Melony, said that security guarantees for Ukraine “should be implemented in the context of NATO.” The membership of Ukraine would be a guarantee that “what we have seen over the past three years, and European countries that have been the most threatening, can be safe.”
Meloni also criticized other options for providing guarantees of security of our country, calling them “more complex and less effective.”
US President Donald Trump, with whom the Italian Prime Minister has a good relationship, advised Ukraine to “forget about NATO” because the alliance considers one of the reasons for the war.
