Zaporizhzhya Regional Center for Disease Control and Disease Center. According to IZ with reference to MOO, as part of the project, which started last September, specialists have already checked almost 700 students. According to preliminary studies, 24.5% of children have visited visual impairment. In the first two months of work, doctors examined 224 students, and this trend is maintained with further examinations. Experts emphasize that regular diagnosis helps to identify problems in the early stages, which makes it possible to adjust the vision in a timely manner and prevent further deterioration.
The second stage of the initiative involves the introduction of interactive lessons in the communities of the region. Their purpose will be to teach children the rules of safe use of gadgets and the formation of healthy habits that contribute to maintaining vision. The lectures will be in the format of the game, which will make it easier to absorb information and involve more children in preventive measures. In addition, students learn how to properly organize the work space and distribute the load on the eyes to reduce the risks of developing myopia and other violations. The organizers point out that this approach will not only help identify problems in a timely manner, but also nurture a responsible attitude towards their own health in children; Parents are also advised to pay attention to changes in the child's behavior that may indicate visual impairment and to contact specialists in a timely manner.
