Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine plans to significantly update the mechanism of preparation and schoorous tests. Since 2026, artificial intelligence will be used in evaluating the quality of educational literature. According to IZ with reference to osvita.ua, the department seeks to improve the control over the content of educational materials to avoid the shortcomings that have caused public resonance in the past. The content of the educational materials will be checked by both experts and artificial intelligence algorithms, which will help to detect mistakes and inaccuracies faster. The Ministry of Education and Science noted that this would make textbooks better and relevant modern educational standards. The most resonant was the case with a Ukrainian language textbook for 7th grade, which depicted a map without Crimea. In addition, public procurement of educational materials also raised questions about transparency. In this regard, the Ministry has changed the procedure for the selection of textbooks and initiated an official investigation into the institution that was engaged in their order and distribution.
