Europe still has no unity before the arrest of Russian assets, – Tusk

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in London that Europe still has no sense in confiscating Russian assets on the way. Actors of the region are afraid of the consequences of such a decision.

RBC-Ukraine reports this from a post on The Guardian.

Dullly saying that they do not care about those that all the leaders have come to terms with the fact that the arrest of Russian assets is the main idea, the leaders of the region “are afraid of the consequences for the euro or the banking system.”

“The flattery is very strong, but let’s be honest, since we are not in the eurozone, our voice in this discussion will not be the highest,” he said.

We also stressed the importance of continuing the EU sanctions against Russia after the end of their actions, regardless of the threat of a veto from Ugorshchina.

Negotiations with Russia

Tusk also spoke about the need to establish a format for negotiations with Europe, Turkey and Canada to formulate a plan for negotiations with Russia.

“We all at once realize that no one has a good plan. Despite the chaos, the hourly approach, the emotions that we felt under the often obscene sight near the Washington D.C. days that we all would like to experience,” he said.

He added that the leaders need to “calmly establish a coherent systemic position” in order to shape the upcoming negotiations on behalf of the Ukrainian allies.

Tusk noted that he suspects that the unity of Europeans will turn their enmity towards US President Donald Trump and will help him deal more sensibly with some of Ukraine’s questions.

He also said that the leaders themselves did not discuss guarantees of security for Ukraine, and soon after, that such a declaration would be responsible for the mother’s susory obligatory nature, so as not to prevent the “Pomilkova” the illusion of security.”

Speaking about the European Union itself for the sake of the coming year, having said that we should marvel at something new with cautious optimism, we “sent a very clear impulse, which showed Putin and Russia that no one is here, on Come in, I have no intention of succumbing to his blackmail and aggression.”

In addition, Tusk threw out some hint about the rift between Europe and the United States. He started singing that Europe cannot allow this to happen.

Frozen Russian assets

We remember that after the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Zakhad region froze the assets of the aggressor country. The stink is about 300 billion dollars, more than the European, American and British sovereign bonds that are stored in the European Securities Depository.

According to Politico, France, Italy, Germany and Spain are against the confiscation of Ukraine. Nowadays, the Baltic countries, as well as Western Europe, respect that the property must be urgently transferred to Ukraine. Reuters reports that Russia may be willing to transfer part of its assets to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
