Ukraine and Great Britain have placed large-scale interests in the sphere of security and defense. The project costs 1.6 billion and will be directly allocated to the value of Ukrainian software.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine in a letter to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Today, February 2, in Britain, at the warehouse of the Ukrainian delegation, with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, strategic home ownership was reached, and the launch of the large-scale LMM-RapidRanger project for the purpose of anti-aircraft defense of Ukraine.
“At the borders of this initiative, we have removed over 5,000 LMM (Lightweight Multirole Missile) missiles and launchers before them,” said the head of the Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov.
Vin explained that LMM is a high-precision interceptor missile, which can effectively destroy Shahed-type drones. The minister said that these missiles have already achieved their effectiveness in the battles of 2022-2024.
“This benefit is one of the largest in the history of Ukraine in the sphere of security and defense. The project is worth 1.6 billion pounds sterling directly for the value of Ukrainian PPO until 2030. It is financed in cash loan guaranteed by the British sovereign agency UK Export Finance (UKEF),” Umerov explained.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, this project will be implemented jointly by the British company Thales, Ukrainian enterprises and Britain.
Having respected the fact that in addition to the completion of the Armed Forces, the Interstate Conveyance conveys:
- localization of proliferation
- technology transfer.
According to Umerov, this is to strengthen the strategic independence of Ukraine in the sphere of anti-aircraft defense.
“Thanks to the British government and all partners for supporting Ukraine in the fight for freedom!”, added the minister.
Guess what, today in London there will be a ceremony that will be dedicated to Ukraine. The leaders of over 10 powers, as well as the leadership of the EU and NATO, have taken their fate.
At the hour of the press conference that took place after the summit, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a new agreement to help Ukraine.
He advised that Ukraine would be willing to use 1.6 billion pounds sterling of British export funding to purchase another 5,000 missiles for the anti-aircraft missile defense.
