Russia has increased the production of drones, allowing them to produce 150 to 200 unmanned aerial vehicles in one strike. There are plans to launch 500 drones across Ukraine.
The intercessor of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Vadim Skibitsky, said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
Having appointed Skibitsky, the Russians have significantly increased the production of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
“Before, in 2023 – at the beginning of 2024, we knew only one “martyr”, then “Geranium-1”, “Geranium-2” and all. Today, the range of these unmanned flying vehicles is so great that it is not possible to “Geranium-1”, “Geranium-2”, “Harpy”, “Gerbera”, “Parody” and others in the fingers of one hand,” the general said.
In other words, the types of drones that are targeted include combat strike, reconnaissance, predatory purposes, such as drones, or non-combat targets, and imitative purposes.
“In fact, all this simply overwhelms our anti-aircraft defense system. It’s very difficult to decide whether to fly a drone with a combat unit, or without it,” he said.
Prior to the release of unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Russian Federation. This is Izhevsk, this is Yelabuga, this is the Kalashnikov concern. The stench has significantly increased the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. And this itself allows them to block 150 to 200 unmanned lethal vehicles in one strike, explained Skibitsky.
“They have plans to increase the number of launchers, and they will launch unmanned lethal vehicles across our territory. Under the auspices of the Russian command, the plans have been finalized in the first place “In fact, they can launch approximately 500 unmanned aerial vehicles per hour,” he said.
Earlier, British intelligence reported that Russia could increase the production of kamikaze drones and increased the intensity of strikes on Ukraine. Therefore, it is important to address this problem in the near future.
According to British intelligence, Russia may now be able to launch around 2,000 kamikaze drones (OWA UAS) across Ukraine. In 2025, Russia launched nearly 2,400 kamikaze drones across Ukraine, increasing the figure for 2024 to 1,700.
