US President Donald Trump has not yet discussed food and military assistance to Ukraine with his soldiers.
As RBC-Ukraine reports, Trump said this during a meeting with journalists at the White House.
“They haven’t talked about this yet (asked to help Ukraine – ed.). Right now we want to learn what’s going to happen. There’s a lot of what’s happening right now,” Trump said.
The US President allowed his words to become “outdated” due to the rapid development of the situation.
Trump also once again emphasized his important role in the process of achieving peace in Ukraine, declaring that without the United States “this goal would never have been achieved.”
At the same time, the head of the United States recalled the words of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who had previously assumed that the end of the war was “even further, farther away.”
“I’d better have mercy on someone. I want the war to end quickly,” Trump said.
Military assistance to Ukraine
It seems likely that today recent media outlets received information that Trump plans to discuss military assistance to Ukraine with his top aides and national security officials.
The New York Times wrote that Trump will sit down with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to look at and perhaps pursue lower policy options for Ukraine.
These data also include information about US military assistance to Ukraine, including the remaining supplies of ammunition and equipment authorized and paid for by the Joe Biden administration.
