Manchester City ready to buy Lunin: transfer fee known

Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin may leave Real Madrid due to lack of playing practice. As reported by IZ with reference to Bettors, Manchester City is interested in his services and is ready to pay 30 million euros for the transfer. Real have already found a replacement for Lunin in the person of Joan Garcia from Espanyol, who is to become a backup to Thibaut Courtois. Negotiations on a possible transfer are ongoing, and the final decision may be made this summer.

Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions, are planning to strengthen their squad by making Lunin their second goalkeeper. The Ukrainian has played 9 matches for Real this season, conceding 11 goals and keeping four clean sheets. According to Spanish media, the Madrid club is satisfied with the €30 million fee, so a deal looks likely in the near future.

Real Madrid plan to use the proceeds from Lunin's sale to sign Joan Garcia, who will act as Thibaut Courtois' backup. Given that Lunin is looking for more playing time, a move to Manchester City could be a good option for both the player and the clubs. A final decision on the transfer will be made after negotiations between the clubs, which are currently ongoing.

Recall that we previously wrote that Ukrainian skaters won silver at the 2025 Junior World Championships.
