The American aerospace company Maxar Technologies is updating Ukraine's access to its satellite images. Let's talk about the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (GEGD) program.
RBC-Ukraine reports about this via correspondence to Militarny.
It is indicated that Maxar is renewing the accounts of Ukrainian GEGD merchants. This is a program that provides access to commercial satellite images that have been recognized and collected by the United States.
It is likely that after the United States stopped supplying Ukraine with military assistance and transferring intelligence, Maxar Technologies turned off Ukraine’s access to its satellite images.
Satellite service providers received information that access to Maxar services is subject to “administrative permission.” As reported by “Military”, the actual restriction of access was the result of a decision by the administration of the US President.
Warto add that the Maxar company is one of the main providers of commercial satellite images for Ukrainian investors about the transfer of Russian troops. It will also help to illustrate the results of strikes on enemy targets.
The US will renew its assistance to Ukraine
Apparently, on the 5th of last year, ZMI reported that the United States had slowed down the transfer of military aid to Ukraine and stopped sharing intelligence data. Later, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed the information.
Yesterday, February 11, delegations from Ukraine and the United States held negotiations with Saudi Arabia. Following the results of the investigation, it became clear that the United States would renew the transfer of military aid and intelligence to Ukraine.
The United States also proposed introducing a 30-day fire ban between Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine supported the proposal.
