The Kyiv Defense Council has allowed traffic from the left bank to the right bank on the Southern Bridge after consultations with the military. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, traffic in the opposite direction will remain closed for the time being, with the exception of emergency services, public transport, military vehicles and transit freight.
Also, restrictions on vehicle movement during an air alert at the Podilskyi bridge crossing and the Darnytskyi railway bridge will be partially lifted. In the event of an alert on these bridges, only one lane will be closed from the left to the right bank.
Thus, transport will move without restrictions across the following bridges:
- North Bridge;
- Metro Bridge;
- E. O. Paton Bridge;
- Darnytsia Railway Bridge (except for one lane during the alarm);
- Podilskyi bridge crossing (except for one lane during the alarm);
- South Bridge (from the left to the right bank).
