Mbappe sets new record in debut season for Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe continues to rewrite Real Madrid history, surpassing Brazilian Ronaldo in the number of goals in his debut season. As IZ reports with reference to Mister Chips, the forward scored a brace in the match against Villarreal, bringing his total number of goals in the season to 31. The previous record of Ronaldo, who scored 30 goals in his first season for Real, was left behind.

The French striker has not only surpassed the legendary Ronaldo, but also come close to matching Cristiano Ronaldo's record. The Portuguese scored 33 goals in his debut season for the “creamy” team. If Mbappe continues to show the same results, he could well become Real Madrid's best newcomer in the club's history.

Mbappe's brace in the match of the 28th round of La Liga against Villarreal allowed Madrid to win 2:1. The Frenchman equalized in the 17th minute, and then quickly put his team ahead. His performance in his first season for Real makes him a main contender to update the club's records in the future.

Recall, we previously wrote that football player Ana Maria Markovic was called “Ronaldo's girl” after a photo from Dubai.
