Tariff changes between Ukraine and the United States will not affect the economy of the region. The obligation to obtain goods is very small.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this at a briefing.

The President of Ukraine stated that tariffs from the United States are not a problem for the Ukrainian economy. Therefore, trade between Ukraine and the United States is even small, and therefore these changes will not have a significant impact on the Ukrainian economy. He also said that the consumption of food also does not flow into the food supply.

Zelensky noted that trade between Ukraine and the United States will reach 3.5 billion dollars.

“Today we have 3.5 billion in trade turnover between us and the United States. We understand that there has been a lot of pressure on our metallurgy – we had 25% before, and then after the start of a large-scale war, the tariff will change, And I think I’m turning back to today,” the president explained.

Prote, in my opinion, these obligations are not such that they could cause serious problems for Ukraine.

“These are not the obligations that we can talk about today with any problems. For us, this is not a problem,” the head of Ukraine concluded.

New meeting with Trump

We would like to remind you that American President Donald Trump sent new tariffs on imports of goods from all countries of the world. The stench began to spread from the 2nd quarter of 2025.

It is clear that tariffs vary from 10% to 50% depending on the country that imports the products.

Zokrem, a 10% tariff has been established for Ukraine.
