On Tuesday, April 8, London is preparing to host one of the most anticipated confrontations of the season – the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals between local side Arsenal and the current trophy holder, Real Madrid. The game will take place at the Emirates Stadium, starting at 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time, writes IZ.
Ukrainian fans will be particularly interested in this match, as Arsenal will feature Oleksandr Zinchenko . Another Ukrainian, Andriy Lunin , who plays for Real Madrid, will not be able to help his team this time due to an injury and was not included in the squad for the match.
The English club confidently made its way to the quarter-finals: Arsenal directly advanced to the 1/8 finals, where they defeated Dutch side PSV with an aggregate score of 9:3 (7:1 at home, 2:2 away). Real Madrid had to overcome a more difficult distance: in the 1/16 finals, the “cream” knocked out Manchester City (3:2, 3:1), and in the 1/8 — after a penalty shootout, they beat their compatriots from Atletico (2:1, 0:1).

However, in the context of a two-match confrontation, Real Madrid's chances are estimated higher: the odds for the Whites to advance to the semi-finals are 1.59 , while the odds for the Gunners to advance are 2.40 .
The return leg is scheduled for April 16 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid. The winner of Arsenal vs. Real Madrid will face the winner of PSG vs. Aston Villa in the semi-final. The other semi-final will feature the winners of Bayern vs. Inter and Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund.
