Ukraine lost a girl who lived under shelling in the occupied territory for more than two years.

RBC-Ukraine reports this via a message sent to the Telegram channel of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.

As part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA was able to rescue a four-year-old girl from the occupied territory.

The President informed the Kerivnik Office that at the beginning of a large-scale invasion, the child was staying with her grandmother. From the first days of the war, this place fell under occupation. Through constant shelling, power outages and water supply, as well as the constant threat of deportation of the girl, childhood turned into a struggle for survival.

“My father, having been in the controlled territory, repeatedly tried to independently evacuate his daughter, but to no avail. With the help of the Ukrainian Ministry for Children’s Rights, we were able to find a safe route and organize a ritual “Today’s child is already at home with her father,” Yermak said.

Having added that the president's team is crowning the head of state – turning back all the children.

Return of deported Ukrainian children

At the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia deported nearly 20 thousand children from the occupied regions of Ukraine. As of today, more than a thousand little Ukrainians have been sent home.

Zokrema, within days of the occupation, nine children were returned to Ukraine, and two more from Russia.

Also, recently, within the framework of Bring Kids Back UA, two more children were able to be returned from the occupied territory.
