DBI employees completed a pre-trial investigation of information on closed state databases. Currently, the indictments have been sent to court.

The press service of the DBI reported this.

The law enforcement officers were discovered in early 2024. The women worked in different departments and did not know each other, but acted according to a similar pattern. They were approached through intermediaries by men of military age who wanted to go abroad. They asked to check information about them in the database. In particular, whether the military registration and enlistment office is looking for them.

Copying information about one person cost $150. Part of the money was taken by intermediaries.

Both border guards will be tried for unauthorized sale of information with limited access (Part 2 of Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). One will also be tried for unauthorized copying of information, which led to its leakage, committed again (Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 6 years.

Both women were removed from their duties and transferred to serve in one of the combat centers in the Chernihiv region.

We recall that in In February, in the Lvov region, a case was filed against two ex-workers of the TCC in the case of torture and illegal detention of citizens.
