Kudritsky: the Russians have changed the tactics of shelling energy facilities in Ukraine

>The Russians have changed the tactics of shelling energy facilities. The enemy is using combined attacks on Ukrenergo power plants.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo Vladimir Kudritsky at a briefing at the Ukrainian Media Center.

Kudrytsky recalled that on March 22, on the eve of the end of the heating season, Russia launched a combined missile and drone strike on the energy system.

Since that time, attacks on state energy facilities began to be recorded every day. At the same time, the enemy is trying to destroy both Ukraine’s ability to produce electricity and its ability to transport it through trunk networks, Kudritsky emphasized.

“Hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants, and some thermal power plants received the greatest damage. Numerous Ukrenergo main substations were also attacked. At the same time, the Russian Federation tried to deprive certain large cities of electricity. These are Kharkov, Odessa, Krivoy Rog and others,” said the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo.

According to him, this year Russian attacks on energy infrastructure are characterized by a high intensity of shelling.

“The idea has not changed, the tactics have changed. They use combined strikes: different types of missiles and suicide bombs. The enemy is relying on drones more than last season. But, as we see, the Russian Federation also uses large volumes of missiles. Last heating season, we observed one attack in one or two weeks. This is now an ongoing series. As for the number of “martyrs” with which the enemy tried to hit energy facilities: in just less than a decade and a half, this number has already become equal to what we saw in the last heating season for several months,” added Kudritsky.

Chairman The board of NEC Ukrenergo noted that work on the restoration of energy facilities is ongoing.

“This is not only about regions where there are problems with energy supply. But also in all regions that have suffered from Russian attacks in one way or another. Where there are no restrictions on power consumption, we are trying to restore as much equipment as possible in order to increase the reliability and resilience of these regions to possible future attacks by the enemy,” explained Kudritsky.
