< p>According to the department’s press service, power engineers, together with emergency services, continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and restore power supply to consumers.

High-voltage lines have partially healed in a number of areas. In particular, the operation of the overhead power transmission line PL-750 kV “Dneprovskaya”, which powers the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, was resumed. After emergency work, consumers in Vinnitsa and Lviv regions were healed. In the Zaporozhye region, network restrictions have been lifted, but there is a power outage due to hostilities.

Fires were localized at affected generation facilities (thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants) in several regions. At the DneproHPP, despite serious damage, power engineers managed to put some of the equipment into operation. However, the station does not yet produce electricity. A damage survey is ongoing to determine and assess the extent of the damage.

Network restrictions remain for consumers in the Odessa region (restrictions for more than 230 thousand consumers) and the Dnepropetrovsk region (150 thousand consumers are disconnected, restrictions apply to more than 10 thousand subscribers). In the Khmelnitsky region, after a large-scale blackout (about 200 thousand were left without electricity), more than 2 thousand subscribers were without electricity. Restoration work continues.

The most difficult situation is in Kharkov. Due to significant damage, about 600 thousand consumers remain without power. Work continues to heal the city's critical infrastructure.

  • On March 22, as reported by the Ministry of Energy, the Russian army carried out the largest attack on the Ukrainian energy sector in recent times.
