As NBN reports with reference to an explanation posted on the official Facebook account of the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova, American legislators have excluded from the document on national defense spending in 2025 the provision on extending Lend-Lease for our country.
Based on Markarova's words, 281 congressmen voted “for” the law, which will be considered in the Senate no earlier than next week, and 140 voted “against.”
In addition, this same document does not provide for the allocation of funds in 2025 for the implementation of the “Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative”, since the funding was provided “in advance”, having allocated $ 300 million in last year's identical law.
It should be recalled that lend-lease is the supply of ammunition, equipment, food, strategic raw materials, including oil products, and other resources to allies/partners.
Earlier, our information portal wrote that the Ministry of Finance predicted how long Ukraine would last in the war with the Russian Federation without US assistance.
