Yuliia Svyrydenko responded to President Zelensky's proposal to become Ukraine's Prime Minister and outlined the key priorities for the future Cabinet.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed the position of Prime Minister of Ukraine to Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. She responded by outlining the key challenges and objectives ahead for the renewed Cabinet of Ministers, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to 24 Kanal.

Svyrydenko expressed gratitude to the President for his trust and the opportunity to serve the country during a pivotal period. According to her, the head of state has defined the main priorities for the future government. These include strengthening Ukraine’s economic capacity, expanding social support programs, and scaling up domestic weapons production.

She emphasized that implementing these tasks will require substantial deregulation, elimination of bureaucratic hurdles, reduction of non-essential government spending, avoidance of overlapping institutional functions, protection of entrepreneurship, and full concentration of state resources on defense and post-war recovery.

The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that the government’s top priority must be to support Ukraine’s defense and security forces and ensure national resilience. She noted that the state apparatus has no right to squander the nation’s potential, as Ukraine deserves to be among Europe’s strongest economies.

Svyrydenko also highlighted the need to develop clearer tools for social support. She stated that every Ukrainian soldier and veteran deserves tangible respect and gratitude from the state.

She reminded that appointing a Prime Minister is within the authority of the Verkhovna Rada. In this context, preparations are underway to engage with the parliament and present the necessary government initiatives.

Yuliia Svyrydenko also pledged to soon announce her proposals for Cabinet member nominations.
